8 EBay Selling Tips
If you want to sell more than the odd trinket on eBay then here are a few tips for the serious Seller.
1)Research
Research your product on the completed listings page. Look for the number of products selling and the percentage of completed sales. Analyze the winning auctions for sales information. Check starting times and starting prices.
2)Follow up
After a sale followup with the buyer. Always communicate information in a timely manner. A dissatisfied customer will cost you in the long run. If you need to offer their money back the do that.
3)Analyze Competition
Find the powersellers. They are the long run winners They must be doing something correct. Copy their sales page style.
4)Include Keywords in Title
Most people use the basic search and that’s it. It is very important to have all your keywords in the title. If you make a mistake it will be very costly. Try and be horizontal as well to cover all your bases.
5)Setup an eBay Store
It enhances your credibility and allows cross promotion. Most people will go with an established seller if everything else is the same.
6)Use as many photos as you can.
Upload photos to your server. You can use as many as you want. If you don’t ebay will charge by the photo.Buyers need reassurance and seeing is believing.
7) Starting bids should be low
It is cheaper to start and it actually gives better results. EBay users know the fair value so you won’t get stuck way below your price. It also brings out the competition in your buyers. Nothing is more frustrating than seeing someone outbid you with a few minutes left. Leaving the starting price low attracts more initial visitors.
Ending times
End you auctions at good times. Don’t do them too early in the morning. Hit lunch time or after dinner. Sundays and Mondays are good ending days.
